This Refund Policy applies to purchases made on The Mortal Button (KNOP.SYS), operated by Ragole BV. Purchases are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle, which handles all refunds.
EU right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
Immediate delivery and waiver
Our items are digital content that is delivered immediately upon purchase — your candle, epitaph line, stone, or monument contribution appears on the memorial at once. Under EU law, the right of withdrawal does not apply once delivery of digital content has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal.
For this reason, at checkout you must explicitly confirm that you consent to immediate delivery and that you understand you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery begins. If you do not provide this consent, the purchase cannot be completed.
If a generation dies right after your purchase
The button is designed to die. If a generation ends immediately after you buy, your item is not lost — it remains, permanently, on the memorial across every subsequent generation. That permanence is the product you purchased, so the death of a generation is not a defect and is not grounds for a refund.
